Dancer and Prancer & Camels too!

A church here in town puts on a living nativity that we have attended for the past few years. It's good to get a good visual reminder of what Christmas is truly about and we thought this year it would be great for Maveric to see what we had been reading about in the bible. We made the mistake of telling him there would be camels there and we think he thought we were headed to the zoo or something. He did end up enjoying the "show" but was very concerned that one of the camels lost his blanket! On a side note, whenever I read Mav the Christmas Story, he always wants to know about Herod. "He's mean Mama!" So, he did get to see Herod's men come on horses yelling and searching for Jesus and see that God protected Him just like He protects us!

After the performance I asked one of the volunteers if we could come see the camels the next day. They told me where they would be and we stopped by. Maveric fed them hay and wasn't scared a bit. I, on the other hand, was a bit nervous we may get covered in spit! We made it out clean and dry!

They have two reindeer come to visit every year at Beaver Bark here in Richland. This year Dancer and Prancer made to journey and we have been to visit them often! We've fed them carrots, apples and raisins. This is Maveric and his friend Keelin who met us there to see Santa's helpers!
