Happy Halloween!

Our Halloween started off around just after midnight to Maveric waking up with his croup cough. We got the nebulizer up and running and got him a breathing treatment right away. Thankfully, his symptoms improved; however, this makes for a long night as the medicine is like a big dose of adrenaline and there is no sleep in store for a two year old! We didn't know how the rest of the day would go, but he felt a lot better and we had a great laid back Halloween.

Super-Si enjoy his licorice rope!

We wanted to focus on light and not the darkness sometimes associated with Halloween, so we carved our pumpkin and read in John about Jesus being the light of the world.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." John 8:12

Then we set off trick-or-treating to our neighbors with Mav's buddy Keegan and his family. That was followed by sweet and sour meatballs & rice for dinner and handing out candy. Mav loved opening the door and giving out the candy -- "Take a couple!" he'd say! And last, maybe the highlight of the night, was much needed sleep by all! :)

Mav has talked about being a football player for months now, but changed it up at the last second! Lightning McMaveric!
